To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what economic assumptions her Department has used to calculate the proposed increase in defence spending of £13.4bn by 2027.

Darren JonesEconomic assumptions are based on independent forecasts provided by the OBR, under the Charter of Budget Responsibility. The next forecast will become available at the Spring Statement on 26 March in the usual way.
