To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, if he will make an assessment of the potential merits of providing additional funding for the construction of the North South Interconnector.

Hilary BennEnergy policy and funding for infrastructure in Northern Ireland are devolved to the Northern Ireland Executive. Additional funding for this joint infrastructure project is ultimately a matter for the Northern Ireland Executive and the Irish Government.
