To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether his Department plans to publish a consultation on enacting the socio-economic duty in the Equality Act 2010.

Anneliese DoddsWe will commence the socio-economic duty in section 1 of the Equality Act 2010 through a commencement order when parliamentary time allows. We will engage widely to ensure that its implementation is as effective as possible.
