To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what is the difference in (a) purchase and (b) running cost between the (i) F-35A and (ii) F-35B variants.

Maria EagleThe purchase price of an F-35A is estimated to be 15% less than the cost of an F-35B.The running cost of an F-35A is estimated to be 8% less than an F-35B.
