To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, if she will make an estimate of the amount of revenue that removal of the personal allowance from additional rate taxpayers would raise.

James MurrayAdditional rate taxpayers do not currently benefit from the personal allowance as it is tapered away when a person has income over £100,000 and is fully removed for those paying the additional rate. Therefore this would have no exchequer impact. In 2024-2...
