To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, when he plans to bring forward legislative proposals relating to the use of judge-only trials for certain criminal offences.

Sarah SackmanWe intend to introduce legislation to deliver structural reforms to the criminal courts, announced by the Deputy Prime Minister on 2 December 2025 in response to Part 1 of Sir Brian Leveson’s Independent Review, as soon as parliamentary time allows.
