To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much and what proportion of the defence budget is allocated to the Royal Marines, excluding Commando-trained Army sub-units.

Luke PollardI hope the hon. Member will understand that it is not possible to split out costs that relate solely to the Royal Marines due to the interoperability of units, equipment and mixed use of training facilities.
