To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will make an assessment of the potential merits of appointing a UK Maternity Commissioner.

Karin SmythThere are no current plans to appoint a Maternity Commissioner. The Government has commissioned an independent National Investigation into maternity and neonatal care, chaired by Baroness Amos, which is expected to make recommendations this spring. My Rt ...
