To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the average length is of a fast-jet conversion course for the (a) Tornado, (b) Typhoon and (c) F-35 aircraft.
Answer
The average time for completion of the Operational Conversion Course for a fresh Typhoon pilot is eight months and 12 months for a F-35B Lightning pilot. The Tornado is no longer in UK service.
