To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what steps his Department is taking to prevent moorland fires.

Mary CreaghWe are committed to protecting our nature-rich habitats, including our moorlands, through promoting sustainable land management and restoration practices. Wetter, healthy-functioning peatlands are more resilient to the impacts of fire.
