To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what steps his Department has taken to develop buoyant body armour plates for use in maritime operations.

Maria EagleThe Ministry of Defence will deliver a Personal Hard Armour Framework (PHA-F). This framework will enable the inclusion of emerging technologies and future requirements. Buoyant plates could, therefore, be considered in the future under PHA-F.
