To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what his public consultation proposals are for the review of the national policy statement for ports announced on 14 March 2023.
Answer
Mr Richard HoldenThe Department intends to undertake thorough public consultation on the review of the National Policy Statement for Ports, later this year. Any proposed amendments will also be subject to appraisal of sustainability and to Parliamentary scrutiny in accordance with the Planning Act 2008, as amended.
