To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, whether his Department plans to issue new guidance on the handling of chickens by their legs.

Daniel ZeichnerWe are carefully considering the recommendations in the Animal Welfare Committee’s report on the welfare implications of carrying methods for poultry to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and will set out next steps in due course.
