To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what the estimated cost to the public purse is of the new railway station at Tempsford.

Lilian GreenwoodThe current cost estimate for Connection Stages 2/3 of EWR is £5-6bn, which is inclusive of an interchange station at Tempsford. The design of Tempsford station is not sufficiently advanced to give a robust cost estimate at this time.
