To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment her Department has made of the effectiveness of penalty levels for uninsured driving.

Simon LightwoodMy department is developing our Road Safety Strategy and will set out more details in due course. All drivers must be insured to drive or ride the vehicle they are using and for the purpose it is used for. The Government takes uninsured driving seriously....
