To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the Answer of 9 March 2023 to Question 158788 on Ukraine: Military Aid, whether his Department is taking steps to ensure that there are no delays in notifying successful bidders for the second round of funding for the International Fund for Ukraine.
Answer
Building on lessons learned from Urgent Bidding Round 1, the Ministry of Defence (MOD), on behalf of Executive Panel countries, has adopted a more targeted, streamlined and digitised approach to Urgent Bidding Round 2. This includes using the Defence Sourcing Portal, the MOD's strategic platform for advertising new opportunities and conducting procurement, to manage the communication process with suppliers.
