To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment he has made of the adequacy of Government support for independent veterinary practices.

Daniel ZeichnerThe Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is currently investigating the companion animal veterinary sector. Defra will consider any recommendations from the CMA once their work has concluded.
