Amendments 193, 194, 198 and 199 seek to set out what fair pay agreements can do. Our position is that the bodies themselves should have the flexibility to deliver the best outcome for the workforce—something that I know we all feel should be the case. It is the case that individual employers can offer more favourable terms than any agreed minimum. The bodies will include employers’ and workers’ representatives, so they are well placed to determine the best outcomes.
