Domestic Abuse Offences

Contribution

I thank the hon. Gentleman for making a powerful speech on a subject that I know matters to so many people in this House. Does the hon. Gentleman agree that we need to consider not just aggravated offences but sentencing? Killed Women is campaigning to close the sentencing gap. Perpetrators who murder women at home receive shorter sentences than those who murder women on the street. Having domestic abuse aggravated offences would end that injustice when it comes to sentencing.
