Finally, Amendment 26 would confirm that there is nothing in the Bill that would make an unpaid officeholder or unpaid trustee liable in their personal capacity to be sued for breach of duty under the Bill. Volunteers in this context should not be subject to the same criminal liability as paid professionals when they are acting in good faith and without negligence. These proposals are clearly proportionate and in keeping with the objective.
