Terrorism (Protection of Premises) BillContribution
Let us be clear: this amendment does not propose a blanket exemption for all trustees and officeholders. Those who act with wilful misconduct or gross negligence will rightly remain accountable. However, for those who genuinely seek to comply with the law and act responsibly, the threat of personal, financial or indeed criminal liability should not hang over them like a sword of Damocles. If we fail to provide this protection, we risk discouraging precisely the people we need to step forward.
