Debate

Firearms Licensing

Contribution

The hon. Member for Broadland and Fakenham (Jerome Mayhew) always needs to have the final word. It is really helpful that we have put forward pragmatic solutions to an issue that we all care about deeply: the safety of our constituents and the United Kingdom. They are not just throwaway suggestions; they are grounded in facts and evidence, to protect both the rural economy and the lives of our rural constituents. I look forward to working closely with the Minister in the months ahead, when the review comes forward—in due course—to make sure that the policy lands in the best place possible. Question put and agreed to. Resolved, That this House has considered e-petition 750236 relating to section 1 and 2 firearms licensing.
