120: Clause 31, page 55, line 2, at end insert “; or has taken such action during the period of five years ending with the date on which an application is made under subsection (6).” Member’s explanatory statement This amendment would ensure that a parent must obtain local authority consent to withdraw their child from school if the authority has taken action under section 47(8) of the Children Act 1989 at any time during the period of 5 years prior to the application.
