AI-powered systems can inadvertently or deliberately expose children to inappropriate content, encourage risky behaviours and enable new forms of targeted exploitation. This represents a fundamental shift in how children are being exploited online. Young people are increasingly vulnerable to becoming both victims and perpetrators of cybercrime.
